Whether you know it or not, there's been a controversy over the celebration of Columbus Day for...a while. In particular, the indigenous people of North and South America feel strongly about celebrating a person that, in actuality, caused unfathomable harm and disruption to their ancestor's way of life.
A huge thank you to first time co-hosts and podcasters, Sophomores Paul Turrin and Nathan Gulley! Great job taking on a tricky topic and making this recording happen. We also offer our sincere appreciation to our amazing professors for taking time from their very busy schedules to contribute their opinions. Contributions came from Professors Jeffrey Malanson, Deborah Bauer, Suzanne LaVere, and David G. Schuster. We are grateful for your support!
